Product Overview
The Humidifier Calibration Kit is used to calibrate the humidity level of the incubator. It contains a humidifier calibration bottle and an elbow. Half a cap full of sterile distilled water and salt is poured into the bottle. The smaller end of the elbow is placed over the bottle. The elbow is slid over the humidity sensor and the responses can be noted. They can be compared to sensor responses during operation of the incubator. The solution in the calibration bottle is maintained at approximately at the same temperature as the incubator’s infant chamber. A humidifier calibration bottle is made of polypropylene. When compare to polyethylene material, polypropylene has a higher resistance to chemicals. It resists many organic solvents, acids and alkalines. The humidifier calibration elbow is made up of Butyl material. Butyl material is a kind of synthetic rubber which provides excellent impermeability to gases and has a high hysteresis for energy absorption. The elbow will be placed on the bottle, in which the smaller end of the elbow goes over the bottle. The bottle contains sodium chloride solution or salt solution that can be used for a period of up to one year.
