The Vent Engine Complete CARESCAPE™ R860 is a ventilator that is designed to provide mechanical ventilation or support to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients weighing 0.25 kg and above. It is a microprocessor based, electronically controlled, pneumatically driven ventilator. Compressed gas enters the ventilator, the gas is filtered as it enters the pneumatic engine manifold of the ventilator. A supply pressure transducer is used to monitor the adequacy of the supply pressure. The vent engine kit consists of the vent assembly, screws of M4 & M5 size, O-rings, lubricants, adhesives, transducers and suction covers. It is assembled in an Environmentally Controlled Area (ECA) having a surface cleanliness level defined as no more than 100 totals (sum of three plates) settleable particles is tested with either air or O₂ as the test gas, before packaging. An Electronic Device History Record (eDHR) is created on the display to confirm the test. It is inserted into static shielding bag and the bag is closed with an anti-static label. 2 pieces of inner foam are fitted over the outlet and inlet manifolds of assembly and it is inserted into the carton. 2 pieces of outer foam are fitted over the inner carton and the entire assembly is packed in an outer carton.
